The film looks at the life of refugee children and women in displacement. First the situation and problems of separated children in Malaysia is seen through the eyes of a refugee girl. Then, the difficulties that a single mother from Mozambique who sought safety in Zambia is looked at. Finally, an El Salvadorian mother recounts the problems that she faces as a women and a mother in Costa Rica.
